The co-pilot reduced the engine power at the last minute to prevent an overspeed condition that would trip the ACARS to record an overspeed and notify the airline. The copilot was an “excellent pilot that wanted to remain proficient all the way down.” Do you really think the airline would have understood the gravity of the situation or been able to take any action. This young man did not care about any of that.
It is also unbelievable that the experts would speculate a ridiculous theory and characterize this young man as an “excellent pilot” who “wanted to remain proficient.”
