Delta Flight 1086

Information revealed from the FDR and CVR indicate the crew touched down in the touch-down zone.  Shortly after the crew commenced braking they also initiated reverse thrust.  Preliminary data indicates that the EPR during reverse thrust application may have exceeded the prescribed limits and rudder blanking occurred.

More information to follow.

Greg, if I have this right, they went off the end of the runway , so their problem wasn’t directional control and if I thought I wasn’t going to stop I would have used every bit of reverse thrust, too.

What does rudder blanking have to do with this and where am I wrong?
